Alibijaban Island | Travel Guide

Located in the southern tip of San Andres Quezon, this island boasts with remarkable and enticing sandbars, turquoise clear waters, lush mangroves, and the friendly locals.

This island is the definition of a laid-back weekend escape.

HOW TO GET THERE

By Private Car

Brace yourself for an eight-hour long drive to reach this island but I will assure you that it will be worth it! Just follow the route given by google maps and you’ll reach the port safe and sound.

By Public Transpo

Barney Auto Lines offers daily trips from Alabang going to San Andres from 4 AM to 10 PM. All are ordinary buses except for the 7:30 PM trip. Travel time is approximately twelve hours.

WHERE TO STAY

No air-condition room and deluxe hotel on the island, common accommodations are nipa huts with an electric fan. You can rent it for an overnight stay from 600-800 php.

We stayed at Aromajan, the secluded part of the beach and it feels like we owned the island.

Lunch at the Floating Cottage

I highly recommend having lunch at the floating cottage, you will definitely enjoy the vibe and your food. Book the one with a rooftop and jump to the water, it is really refreshing and exciting. You can rent it at 200 per hour.

Caving

This small cave is located at the tip of the island and nothing fancy about it. Just take a picture and go. 😀

The island is suitable for first-timers flying their drone as the wind is calm and the GPS signal is stable. The view from above will surely captivate you.
